Privacy at Stable Orbit

We at Stable Orbit treasure our own privacy and the security of our personal information. We equally believe in the importance of protecting your information.

Stable Orbit gains no economic benefit from the personal information of our team members, clients, vendors and other contacts. For that reason, we have no financial incentive for the collection of your personal information and will never sell and will not share anyone's private details without their express consent, unless compelled to by law. The only PII we retain relates to ongoing correspondence, billing and other processes of our day-to-day operations.

Stable Orbit is legally bound by various non-disclosure agreements and will not share the details of the business, financial and other confidential dealings of Stable Orbit, our partners or clients.

What are cookies?

Cookies are simple text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device by a website’s server. Each cookie is unique to your web browser. It will contain some anonymous information such as a unique identifier, website’s domain name, and some digits and numbers.

Your choice comes first

Analytics cookies are switched off until you turn them on. When you first visit this site you will see a banner asking whether you consent to cookies. Until you answer and answer affirmatively, our analytics provider is prevented from storing any cookie or identifier on your device. Choosing to decline, or simply ignoring the banner, both leave analytics switched off.

Withdrawing consent also removes what was already stored. We do not merely stop setting new cookies: the analytics cookies already on your device are deleted at the moment you withdraw consent.

What types of cookies do we use?

1. Necessary cookies

These are required for the site to work and for us to honour your choices, so they are not covered by the consent banner. On this site that means a single cookie recording your answer to the banner itself. Without it we could not remember that you declined.

Our contact form is also protected against automated abuse by Google reCAPTCHA, which may set its own cookies from google.com when the form is displayed. This protection cannot be disabled without leaving the form open to spam.

2. Functionality cookies

Functionality cookies would let us remember preferences and customisations between visits. This site does not currently set any. We have no user accounts, logins or personalisation on the public website, so there is nothing of this kind to remember.

3. Analytical cookies

These let us and third-party services collect aggregated statistics about how visitors use the website — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and where they leave. They do not contain names or email addresses, and we use them only to understand which of our writing and services people find useful.

How to delete cookies?

The simplest way to stop analytics cookies is to decline them in the banner, or to withdraw consent as described above, which deletes them for you.

You can also restrict or block cookies through your browser settings, which works for every site you visit rather than just this one.
